ICGS Emerging Economies Travel Grant
The International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS) Emerging Economies Travel Grant program provides financial support to scholars presenting their research or academic work during the annual ICGS Conference. Through the program, participants will be awarded a $1,000 grant to cover the costs of travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred for participation as an attendee or presenter.
Objectives
Grants are awarded to scholars located in countries classified as emerging economies, demonstrating a financial need to attend the 12th ICGS Conference at HEC Montreal, Canada, October 3-4, 2026. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their research and participate in conference activities.
Eligibility
This travel grant is open exclusively to Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from Emerging Economies. ECRs are assistant professors or postdocs (or similar classifications) who are no more than 5 years post PhD at the time of submission. As Emerging Economies, we define countries classified as “emerging” or “developing” by recognized economic institutions such as the World Bank or United Nations.
- Eligible participants must have a paper accepted to the conference program.
- Eligible participants must commit to attending the conference in full and assist with a service task during the event if requested.
Financial Support
Financial assistance is capped at USD $1,000 per scholar, intended to cover travel and accommodation costs. Conference fees and ICGS membership dues are waived.
